National Vibe Coding Competition

1. Acceptance of Terms

By participating in the National Vibe Coding Competition 2025 ("the Competition"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not participate in the Competition.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Competition organizers, including Xerpihan and APKOM Jogja.

2. Competition Overview

Event Name: National Vibe Coding Competition 2025
Theme: "SYNTHESIZE THE FUTURE: HUMAN CREATIVITY × AGENTIC AI"
Date: 26 September - 1 October 2025
Location: Gelanggang Inovasi dan Kreativitas UGM, Yogyakarta, Indonesia

The Competition is a coding contest focused on AI-powered innovation, venture creation, and gig economy solutions. Participants will develop projects that integrate artificial intelligence technology meaningfully.

3. Eligibility Requirements

Age Requirement: Participants must be 16 years of age or older at the time of registration.

Geographic Scope: Open to Indonesian citizens and international participants.

Team Composition: Teams can consist of 1-5 members. Individual participation is allowed.

Registration: All participants must complete the official registration process and agree to these Terms.

4. Participant Obligations

Code of Conduct: Participants must maintain professional behavior and respect all organizers, mentors, and fellow participants.

Original Work: All submitted code must be original and developed during the Competition period.

AI Integration: Projects must meaningfully integrate AI technology as a core component.

Documentation: Participants must provide clear documentation and presentation materials.

Attendance: Participants must attend mandatory sessions and the final presentation.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

Participant Ownership: Participants retain full ownership of their original code and intellectual property.

License Grant: By participating, participants grant the Competition organizers a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote their projects for Competition-related purposes.

Third-Party Rights: Participants must ensure they have proper rights to use any third-party libraries, APIs, or resources.

Attribution: Proper attribution must be given for any open-source or third-party components used.

6. Prohibited Activities

Plagiarism: Copying or using others' work without proper attribution is strictly prohibited.

Pre-existing Projects: Submitting projects developed before the Competition period is not allowed.

External Assistance: Receiving help from non-team members during development is prohibited.

Inappropriate Content: Projects containing harmful, offensive, or illegal content are not permitted.

Terms Violation: Breaking platform terms, API usage policies, or legal requirements is prohibited.

7. Competition Rules and Judging

Judging Criteria: Projects are evaluated on Innovation (25%), Technical Excellence (25%), Impact & Relevance (20%), Presentation (15%), and Feasibility (15%).

Judging Panel: A panel of industry experts will evaluate all submissions.

Final Decision: The judging panel's decisions are final and binding.

Disqualification: Violation of these Terms may result in immediate disqualification.

8. Prizes and Awards

Total Prize Pool

Rp 10,000,000 (Indonesian Rupiah)

Comprehensive prize distribution across multiple categories and winners

Google Cloud Credits

US$ 5,000 in Google Cloud Credits

Cloud infrastructure credits to help winners scale their projects

Prize Distribution: Prizes will be awarded to the top-performing teams as determined by the judging panel.

Cash Prizes: Distributed among winners based on their ranking and performance in the competition.

Cloud Credits: Google Cloud credits will be distributed to winning teams for continued development and scaling.

Additional Rewards: Winners may receive additional recognition, networking opportunities, and mentorship.

Tax Obligations: Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes on prizes received.

Prize Acceptance: Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are non-transferable.

Disqualification: Disqualified participants forfeit any prizes or awards.

9. Liability and Indemnification

Limitation of Liability: The Competition organizers are not liable for any damages, losses, or injuries arising from participation in the Competition.

Indemnification: Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organizers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from their participation or violation of these Terms.

Force Majeure: The organizers are not liable for events beyond their control that may affect the Competition.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Data Collection: Personal information is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Data Usage: Collected data is used for Competition administration, communication, and improvement purposes.

Data Security: Reasonable measures are taken to protect participant data.

11. Modifications and Termination

Terms Modification: The organizers reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Participants will be notified of significant changes.

Competition Cancellation: The organizers reserve the right to cancel or modify the Competition due to unforeseen circumstances.

Participant Withdrawal: Participants may withdraw from the Competition at any time by notifying the organizers.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by Indonesian law.

Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through good faith negotiation.

Jurisdiction: The courts of Yogyakarta, Indonesia have exclusive jurisdiction over any legal proceedings.

14. Effective Date

By participating in the Competition, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
