Registration

How do I register for the competition?

Registration is done through our online form at /register. You'll need to provide personal information, team details, project description, and select your competition track. Early registration closes on August 31, 2025.

Can I participate as an individual?

Yes, individual participation is allowed. Teams can consist of 1-5 members. If you register individually, you can form or join a team during the event.

What are the age requirements?

Participants must be 16 years or older. Students under 18 need parental consent and supervision during the event.

Is there a registration fee?

There is no registration fee for the competition itself. However, you'll need to purchase an event ticket to attend the venue and participate in person.

Tickets

What types of tickets are available?

We offer two ticket types: Regular (Rp 10.000) and VIP (Rp 1.000.000). VIP tickets include exclusive access to premium sessions and networking events.

When do ticket sales start?

Presale opens on July 1, 2025. Early bird pricing is available until August 31, 2025. Final ticket sales end on September 25, 2025.

Can I get a refund if I can't attend?

Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event (September 19, 2025). After that, tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another person.

Do I need a ticket if I'm competing?

Yes, all participants need a valid event ticket to access the venue. The ticket covers your participation in the competition and access to all event activities.

Participation

What should I bring to the event?

Bring your laptop, charger, any necessary hardware for your project, and comfortable clothing. We'll provide workspace, internet access, and basic development tools.

Can I use pre-existing code or projects?

No, all code must be developed during the competition period. You can use open-source libraries and APIs, but the core project should be original work created during the event.

What are the mini-classes about?

Mini-classes are 90-minute intensive workshops covering four tracks: Vibe Coding, Creative Content, Academic & Writing, and Music & Arts. They're designed to enhance your AI synthesis skills.

How is the competition judged?

Projects are judged on Innovation (25%), Technical Excellence (25%), Impact & Relevance (20%), Presentation (15%), and Feasibility (15%). A panel of industry experts will evaluate all submissions.

Technical

What programming languages can I use?

You can use any programming language you're comfortable with. The focus is on AI integration and innovation, not specific technologies. Popular choices include Python, JavaScript, Java, and C++.

Do I need to bring my own AI tools?

We'll provide access to various AI APIs and tools, but you can bring your own if needed. Make sure to comply with usage terms and have proper API keys ready.

What's the internet situation at the venue?

High-speed internet will be provided throughout the venue. We recommend having backup options like mobile hotspots in case of any connectivity issues.

Can I deploy my project during the competition?

Yes, you can deploy your project to platforms like Vercel, Heroku, or AWS. We'll have mini-classes specifically covering deployment strategies and best practices.

Logistics

Where exactly is the event held?

The event takes place at Gelanggang Inovasi dan Kreativitas (GIK) UGM, located at Universitas Gadjah Mada in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Detailed directions will be provided closer to the event.

Is accommodation provided?

Accommodation is not included in the ticket price, but we've partnered with local hotels to offer discounted rates for participants. Information will be shared after registration.

What about food and refreshments?

Light refreshments and coffee will be provided during breaks. For meals, there are various food options available at the venue and nearby areas.

Can I leave the venue during the competition?

Yes, you can leave the venue, but we recommend staying to maximize your development time and participate in networking opportunities. The competition runs continuously from Day 1 evening.
